Dit is een erg leuke (speelgoed) projector voor 35mm film. De Norcin is één van de 35mm projectoren van de firma Alef. Deze firma was gevestigd in Bayern en heette voluit Die Firma Optische Anstalten A. Lehmann. Andere 35mm modellen zijn Alef Vokin, Alef Nofinette en Alef Nofi (zie ook verder in deze blog).
Deze Norcin projector is identiek aan het kleine 9,5mm broertje Alef Privat. In dezelfde reeks was er ook een 16mm projector: de Alef Alcin. Deze drie projectoren werden in 1929 op de markt gebracht.
De projector is in goede staat en komt met originele transformator en in een houten kist. De elektrische bedrading en de lamp heb ik nog niet getest, maar ik veronderstel dat deze projector in werkende staat is. Het mechanisme loopt erg vlot. De projector staat dan ook qua kwaliteit en stevigheid een stapje hoger dan de echte speelgoed projectors en zal ongetwijfeld ook in scholen of voor kleine huiskamervertoningen gebruikt zijn geweest.

The projector is in good condition and comes with original transformer in a wooden box. I have not tested the electrical wiring and the lamp, but I suppose that this projector is in working order. The mechanism is very smooth. The quality of this projector is higher that you normaly see with toy projectors of this kind. I think it also could be used at schools.
