The Pathe Kok projector was introduced in the year 1912 by the Pathe Freres firms. It was the first attempt from Pathe to introduce a new film format made for use at home.

The new format was 28mm wide. The film was made of safety film instead of the flamable nitrate film that was used for the 35mm format. The film has different perforations on both sides of the film. On one side the film got one perforation per frame and on the other side three (see alo my scans of 28mm films in my blog).

This projector uses a dynamo. When you cranck the projector you also generate power to light up the bulb. The dynamo still works, but the lamp only generates a weak light.

The serial number of the projector is rather low (361), so it must have one one of the first versions that rolled out of the factory.

The projector comes with its original carrying case, with the beautiful Pathé logo on it. I also recieved a box with spare lamps.

The wooden base gets loose at some points, so a little restauration is adviced.

The rewind system has broken off, but still present. This was a very weak point of the projector.
