Raphael Eduard Liesegang was a German chemist, photographer and entrepreneur. The company Ed. Liesegang oHG was known for the production of photographic paper and chemicals. Later they expanded their activities to optical instruments.
Liesegang was one of the first German distributors of cinematographic material. The first film projector that they put on the market was imported from England in 1896. In 1897 they started producing their own projector. Many models have been put on the market over the years.
I can not immediately find the name of this model, but it probably dates from the start or end of the 1910´s.
The projector was owned by the Dutch filmmaker Henk van der Linden who received the projector from a priest many years ago. Afterwards, the projector stood in the Flemish film museum and archive in Louvain until the museum closed.
The projector uses a beater movement. The lighting systems is missing.
